SPIbelt Ambassador Aaron

Meet SPIbelt Ambassador Aaron

I’m from Texas via a couple other channels (Army Brat). I’ve lived in Virginia as long as I lived in Texas… so, I guess I’m from Virginia now (bleh! Haha). I ran track and played football in high school, and I was a cheerleader in college. I have a BS in Health Promotion and Kinesiology, but have been working for the government, and I also teach gymnastics a few times a week. I enjoy trail running and play around with lifting weights. I have my “black belt” in Muay Thai. So I enjoy kicking stuff too. I’ve now been married to my wife for 8.5 years, and we have two dogs. I’m a pretty open book, and always open for conversation.

Q & A

What quote or motto keeps you motivated?

Live to run another day.
Not all runs will be good/great runs. Know when to ease up, when to call it, and when to rest. That way you will continue to be able to be a lifelong runner.

What does “free to be” mean to you?

Free to be means that you can be yourself, unimpeded.

What is your biggest goal for 2018?

Finish a 100 miler. I’m signed up for a 24 hour run and am trying to decide between two 100 mile races. I hope to finish 100 miles at at least one, if not both of them.

Coolest place you have taken your SPIbelt?

Locations, for me, are made memorable by events or people. I often wear my belt to DisneyWorld, where I frequent with my wife. It’s also been to Paris, Berlin, Copenhagen, Gothenburg, Toronto, Nassau, George Town (GC), and all over the US.

What is your favorite SPIbelt product and why?

The Double-Pocket SPIbeltt is the best belt! I can carry enough items for a 5+ hour run or longer without extra aid.

What is your tip for someone just starting out on the running journey?

Consistency and Positive Mindset. You can’t get better without being consistent, and you can’t be consistent without a positive mindset.
