Meet SPIbelt Ambassador Ariana
I’m Ariana! I’m a biology student at UT Austin. I fell in love with triathlons in high school, and I’ve since done over 40 races in the U.S., Mexico and the Philippines. My favorite distance to date is the 70.3 distance, but I’m working towards my first full Ironman in 2018. I’m always striving to be better and work harder. I’m so happy to be part of the SPI Belt community!
What is your biggest goal for 2019?
My biggest goal is to roll smoothly through this transitional phase in my life. I have just finished my undergrad degree, and I am chasing my dream of becoming a genetic counselor!
What is your favorite SPIbelt product?
The SPIbelt Glide is my favorite belt. I love how it has two pockets. When you add a SPI H2O Companion or two, you’re all set for a long training or racing day. Also, not having a buckle to worry about on race day is nice. I can just easily slide the belt on in transition 2 of a triathlon!
Coolest place you have taken your SPIbelt?
My first Ironman in Vichy, France where I qualified for the Ironman World Championship in Kona!
What quote or motto keeps you motivated?
“Whatever you are, be a good one.” – Abraham Lincoln
Anything else you would like to share?
One day, I’m hoping to race as a professional long-course triathlete. Until then, I’m chasing my academic/career dreams and hoping to obtain a master’s degree in genetic counseling.
