He double pocket belt fits a small cell phone and pump perfectly! We would love to see it offered in more colors/designs.
Love it so much! It’s got room for my son’s cell phone and a snack, so he always has his cell on him at school and we are able to see his glucose levels! I will be ordering another one for myself!
Our T1D son loves his SPI Belts, and when he started soccer and needed his smartphone *on* him at all times, we picked up the double pocket belt. It gets the job done however - My one complaint about this belt is that the tubing hole is in the larger pocket - the one you would think you would be putting the phone in, not the pump. Either put the tubing hole in both or swap them - pumps are much smaller than phones and the hole should be in the smaller pocket.
Our son was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes nearly 6 years ago and we have been using SPIbelts for his pump/Dexcom ever since. He recently started 2nd grade and ended up too far away from his phone/backpack when at recess. I bought the double belt so his phone would be physically on him at all times. Glad I did because he had an urgent low last week where no one heard the alarms, but because he had his phone on him, I was notified remotely. I contacted his teacher and she went and got him. He was 41 and dropping. Other T1D parents understand how scary that is. I’m so happy I bought this belt!
Not having a hole in the small pouch hasn’t been an issue so far. I’m looking forward to the new design though!
I ordered the double pouch spibelt so that my son could put his pump in the smaller pouch and his phone in the larger one but have not been able to use it because the small pouch has no hole for the tubing to go through so he can wear it. And the larger pouch is not big enough for his iPhone and his pump together and it is the one with the hole. He need to have both on him at all times for his dexcom and insulin. So I have waisted my money on something I can even use.
