"Don't just wish for it, work for it!"

I started running June 2013, four months after turning 40! I started running to shed a few pounds. I wasn’t obese, but after my first run, it was clear I was out of shape. When I first started running, completing the marathon distance was always a stretch goal. I chipped away at the distance by completing a number of 10K, Half Marathon, and 30K races. I finally tackled the marathon distance 2 years after I started running. Less than 1 year later, I qualified for Boston! Considering how I felt after my first run in 2013, I would have never imagined I could accomplish such a feat!

Favorite workout jam? Anything upbeat

Three things you can’t leave home without? My phone, my credit card, and my running shoes

Next thing you want to conquer? Boston

What is your biggest accomplishment? Qualifying for Boston (although I missed the cut) and finishing the NYC Marathon.

What is your favorite SPIbelt product and why? The Original! I wear it on every training run and occasionally when I race (when not wearing the Performance Series belt) because it’s small and it never gets in the way of my runs!
