Meet SPIbelt Ambassador Linda
Born and raised on the west side of Chicago, I am a city girl at heart. I moved to the suburbs in my mid-20s, where my husband and I raised three boys, all now young adults. My eldest married an amazing girl in September of 2017 and we couldn’t be happier! Our two eldest sons (and our new daughter-in-law!) live in the city, and our youngest son is a junior in college. I have a PhD and work clinically as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner and I also own a continuing education and consulting business. I am busy! My dream is to move back to the city after retirement. I started running just five years ago and I hope to complete all of the World Marathon Majors. I’ve raised my boys to believe just as I do ~ you can do anything, as long as you put your mind to it!
What is your biggest goal for 2020?
I am running the Tokyo Marathon on March 1st as my 5th World Marathon Major. That leaves ‘just’ Boston to complete the series, and although I am a slow runner, by hook or by crook I will make my way there!
What is your favorite SPIbelt product?
I love the Original SPIbelt for everyday use. One pocket is enough to carry my essentials, and it frees my hands up to do whatever I need to get done!
Coolest place you have taken your SPIbelt?
I wore my SPIbelt for the Berlin Marathon in 2018 and the London Marathon in 2019. So far those have been the coolest, but I’m hoping to top that in Tokyo next month!
What quote or motto keeps you motivated?
You’ve got this!
Anything else you would like to share?
I’m the mom of three boys in their 20s and they are all awesome in their own way. They have been super-supportive of everything I’ve done. I think they are just as proud of me as I am of them!
