“I can accept failure. Everyone fails at something. But I can’t accept not trying.”

As a mom to two great boys, running and working out help to keep me balanced and sane as I juggle busy work and family life! The one thing you can control in every situation is your attitude. I try to remember that every day, in every moment, I have a choice about what attitude I will embrace. When I decided to start running, I knew the physical conditioning was only part of the challenge – the other side was mental. So I promised myself I’d go into this journey always bringing the best possible attitude. As I see my hard work paying off, it motivates me to keep pushing my boundaries. I’m also motivated to set an example for my boys. I think it’s important for them to see their mom set goals and go after them, and that even if I don’t succeed that I gave it my best effort.

Favorite way to workout? Running!

Favorite workout jam? Too many faves to choose just one – all depends on my mood at the moment.

Three things you can’t leave home without? iPhone, sunglasses, and a bottle of water.

Next thing you want to conquer? I’m going after some PRs this year at both the half marathon and 10-mile distances.

What is your favorite SPIbelt product and why? The Original SPIbelt is the first piece of running gear I ever bought at an expo and I’ve been running with one ever since (that’s 6 yrs and counting!). I love that it’s lightweight, doesn’t bounce, and holds my phone and other essentials.
