An unabashed lover of Columbus, I love exploring my city on foot. Races or just running the streets and trails, there’s always so much to learn, even about places you’ve lived for a while. I also enjoy traveling (looking forward to a beach vacation this year!) and finding new places to run. Proud husband and father, I’ve finished second to my wife in every race we’ve run in the past 3 years, but I’ve got a feeling that’ll change this year. My two sons are growing up in a house that loves to be outside, and it’s great to see them find the sports they love.
Q & A
What quote or motto keeps you motivated?
“Yes, we can get nachos after this.”
What does “free to be” mean to you?
Free to be yourself. Be proud of who you are. Embrace it!
What is your biggest goal for 2018?
Catch that elusive sub-2 hour half marathon!
Coolest place you have taken your SPIbelt?
Cedar Point. It was perfect for securing my wallet, keys, and phone while we went upside down on roller coasters.
What is your favorite SPIbelt product and why?
What is your tip for someone just starting out on the running journey?
Be patient. Very few people start out running super fast for super long. Run at your pace, know when to push yourself, and know when to relax.
