This summer we’re using our Companion Bottle for on-the-run hydration AND post-workout cocktail bottles! We kicked off #SPIbeltSummer with a contest to find the BEST post-workout cocktail for our Companion Bottle.
Two winners (one for best virgin beverage, one for best adult beverage) get a set of 2 Companion Bottles.
Thank you to everyone who submitted a recipe, there were so many to choose from. After doing a lot of taste testing here at SPIbelt HQ we chose these winners:
Virgin Cocktail Winner: Nicole (@mtnmamarunning)
- Juice of 2 lemons
- Juice of 1 orange
- 2 sprigs of mint
- 1.5 quarts of water
- Sugar to taste (I usually start with two cups)
Mix the juice and water. Add sugar, tasting as you go to adjust the taste. Break leaves off mint and tear them apart into small pieces. Add the Leaves to the drink. Let it sit a bit to let the mint work its magic. Stir and enjoy in your SPI H2O Companion bottle!
Alcoholic Cocktail Winner: Janelle Wiebelhaus-Finger
- 1.5 liter Moscato Wine
- 1can frozen limeade concentrate
- 1 cup diced strawberries
- 1 cup strawberries for garnish
- 1 lime sliced
- 2 liters 7up (or similar soda)
Place 1 cup of diced strawberries and 1/4 cup limeade in a blender and purée. Run through a sieve to remove seeds. Pour into a container and add remaining limeade and moscato. Chill for punch or freeze for slush. Add 7up and garnish with sliced strawberries and limes just before serving in your SPI H2O Companion bottle.
