Meet SPIbelt Ambassador, Kristina!

Q & A

What is your biggest goal for 2021?

2020 was the year of survival. 2021 is the year for thriving and giving back. I am all about Community in everything that I do. For me, I look forward completing my second AND third marathons in 2021, along with more half marathons and open water swim competitions (assuming those take place this year). And, I couldn’t do any of this without my SPIbelt! My 2020 marathon training was largely sustained by all of the little Mamma Chia pouches I held in my SPIbelt (along with everything else)! As I log miles, I look forward to building community that finds strength and positivity through movement and leaning on each other. My biggest goal for 2021 is to start a nonprofit where people in food deserts can meet for a community based walk/run (all paces, skill levels, ages welcome) and in partnership with local farms, they can receive some food staples in the form of produce, grains, and legumes, for free and additional at low cost. While I am in the earliest phases of this endeavor, I am passionate to make this a reality in 2021!

What is your favorite SPIbelt product?

I am such a fan of the SPIbelt Performance Series racing belt. It is durable, and as someone who loves to run in the rain, the weather resistance holds up remarkably well. I couldn’t ask for more when it comes to comfort, durability (and my keys gave it an ultimate test), and flexibility to hold a whole array of things I deemed “necessary” on my long runs! Also, as someone who considers herself an accessory addict, the colorful zippers really add the flair that I look for in running accessories.

What Is your favorite activity to do with your SPIbelt?

I take it running…a lot. I love my SPIbelt on long runs. However, I have also been known to take it hiking and to the beach when I just want to bring my basics!

3 of your go-to workout songs:

The Champion – Carrie Underwood
Sky’s The Limit – American Authors
Can’t Hold Us – Macklemore, Ryan Lewis, Ray Dalton

Coolest place you have taken your SPIbelt?

What is cooler than New York City, running the NYC Marathon in the middle of a pandemic? But, in all seriousness, New York City for now, and I am looking forward to taking my SPIbelt to Hawaii this December for the Honolulu Marathon!

What quote or motto keeps you motivated?

“Forward is a pace.”

Anything else you want to share with our fans?

I am grateful for all of the things that keep me moving on good days and bad days, and my SPIbelt is one of those things!
