Meet SPIbelt Ambassador, Brandi!

Q & A

What is your biggest goal for 2021?

I started running about twelve years ago as a result of a family goal to participate in a local 5K together and I was quickly bit by the running bug. Once I found out that running and being active can indeed be fun, it became a huge part of my life very quickly. I kept setting new goals and challenges for myself. In 2019 I entered the world of obstacle course racing and I was quickly sucked in. Blending my love for running with my strength has provided me a whole new challenge and passion. In 2019 I battled a number of medical issues including chronic illness and severe anxiety. Among doctor visits, tests, and everything in between, there is one thing that keeps me focused and feeling “normal” – working out. Whether it is training for my next obstacle race, going on a long run, spending time with my fellow runners, or weight training, my training keeps me going each day. After the racing shut-down of 2020, I am absolutely itching to get back out on the race course, have some fun, and cross those finish lines once again (safely of course).

What is your favorite SPIbelt product?

I have to go with The Original SPIbelt. It is perfect to hold what I need, when I need it. Bonus: all of the color choices are AMAZING! A close second is the SPI H2O Companion 8oz because it is really multi-purpose and you always need to make sure you are staying hydrated.

What Is your favorite activity to do with your SPIbelt?

While training, racing, traveling, volunteering, and even the occasional medical test, SPIBelt has been by my side (or should I say ‘on my waist’). From keys, to ID, to meds, to phone, fluids/fuel, and more, there is a lot of ‘stuff’ to carry with you when you go out to run. I sometimes like to say that it is like packing for an overnight trip. No matter how much I “need” to carry with me, I know SPIBelt will make it possible. My favorite is running – very much so. I have completed 4 marathon, 118 half marathons, and countless other distances over the past ten years, but my favorite distance is definitely the half marathon.

3 of your go-to workout songs:

My playlist is seriously the most random thing ever: it goes from rap to Disney songs and everything in between. Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO, One Foot by Walk the Moon and Thunderstruck by AC/DC.

Coolest place you have taken your SPIbelt?

Running has taken me to some pretty amazing places, given me some awesome opportunities, and brought me some of the greatest people in my life over the past few years. From running the Las Vegas Strip, to the Happiest Place on Earth countless times, the World’s Largest 10K (Peachtree Road Race), crawling through mud in freezing temps, and even volunteering at the 2020 Olympic Marathon Trials – which is definitely the most incredible things I have been a part of.

What quote or motto keeps you motivated?
